Fire Island Ferries Fares

Fire Island Ferries offers several fare options for travel between Bay Shore, NY and the eight Fire Island communities we service (Kismet, Saltaire, Dunewood, Atlantique, Fair Harbor, Ocean Beach, Seaview, Ocean Bay Park).

One-Way tickets are valid for travel in either direction to any of the eight communities we service.

Round-Trip tickets include two one-way tickets and are valid for travel in either direction to any of the eight communities we service.

40-Trip Book tickets include 40 one-way tickets and are valid for travel in either direction to any of the eight communities we service.

One-Way
  • Adult: $11
  • Child: $6 (Ages 2-11)
  • Senior: $10 (With valid suffolk ID)
  • Military: $10 (With valid veteran or active military ID)
Round-Trip
  • Adult: $21
  • Child: $11 (Ages 2-11)
40-Trip Book
  • Adult: $330
  • Child: $165 (Ages 2-11)

Dogs will be charged a child's fare and must be leashed at all times on the ferries and on the terminal propery.

Passenger Boat Freight Restrictions

New Policy in Effect as of May 22nd

Please plan accordingly.

Due to the need to social distance, and the requirement to reduce cargo aboard our passenger vessels, all non-essential items MUST now be shipped on the freight boat. Regardless of Load Conditions!

Essential items are personal effects & perishables.


Each passenger will be limited to One Trip Through The Gate with two bags (25lbs max) which must fit under your seat. All other essential items, when accepted, must be carried in the freight area on the ferry, and will be charged for accordingly.


No Large Coolers

Coolers 48qt. and smaller will be permitted.


No Large Wagons or Large Carts

Radio Flyer style wagons will be permitted.

Folding wagons will be permitted.

Wire carts will be permitted.

These carts should only contain essential items.


No bulk groceries, beverages, or furniture of any kind.

No plants, landscaping, or building materials of any kind.

No bikes of any size permitted at anytime.

No flammables or compressed gas containers (new or used) permitted on passenger boats.

Time Limit and Forum for Law Suits:

In cases governed by 46 United States Code Section 30508, no civil action against the Company, its personnel or its vessels may be brought more than one year after the occurrence if based on personal injury or death, or six months after passage if based on other claims (including property loss/damage), and such law suits must be brought in either the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York (Central Islip) or state court in Suffolk County, NY. The aggregate liability for property loss/damage is limited to $200.00 per occurrence.
